This Sunday the Wheelers set off out to Whisby. Leaving at 8:30am from our usual meeting point on a dry, reasonably warm February morning 11 riders set of from Worksop along the A57 towards Retford, Ordsall, Laneham, over the Trent at Dunham, through Newton on Trent and onto Whisby for a breakfast and a coffee at the well visited nature reserve.

A great ride out in very favorable conditions without any problems for any riders. After a suitable time stop for refreshments we set off home on pretty much the reverse route. On the way home the wind had picked up and made the 30ish miles home a lot tougher for some riders. What was great to see was none of the struggling riders were left behind and lots of encouragement given.

We arrived back into Worksop covering around 60+ miles at around an average speed of 15mph and around 1800ft of climbing.

Well done to all that came, special mention goes to Nigel for helping a couple of stragglers, Shaun for once again calling out the route and Richie who went on to complete a great 100 miles.

Hope to see you next week!!!
