Today's main Wheelers ride headed into Derbyshire to a small village near Matlock called Whatstandwell.

Thirteen riders started out from The Palms in the early morning fog. We headed out on one of our usual routes out towards Thorpe Salvin heading out through Clowne, Bolsover and the grounds of Hardwick Hall.

At this point around half the riders decided on a shorter route route, due mainly to family commitments and headed off towards Teversal and a cafe break before heading back home to Worksop. The remaining group enjoyed the spring sunshine and scenic route calling at 'The Family Tree' Cafe in Whatstandwell.

The main group of riders finished with around 75 miles and approx 3000ft of elevation.

A cracking day with a good bunch of lads.Thankfully no punctures or incidents only a very near miss with a downhill mountain biker!!!

Next week is a Free Week for members to post a ride up. Cheers guys and ride safely.
