Well after a quiet winter period, due to illness and the Christmas period some of the club finally got out again as a group.

Seven souls met at our usual meeting point, The Palms on Grasmere Rd on a great day weather-wise, dry and very little wind.

The group set off along Carlton Rd and headed out towards Tickhill through Carlton, Langold & Oldcoates. We then headed through Old & New Edlington, Warmsworth Cadeby, Barnburgh, Moorhouse, across the bridge over the A1 at Skellow onto Sutton and arrived at the cafe stop in Askern.

A well deserved coffee and various forms of bacon sandwiches were gladly consumed before setting back off on the return route to Worksop. The route home took us through Thorpe in Balne, Barnby Dun, Armthorpe, onto Cantley, Rossinton, Harworth and finally back through Langold, Carlton and back home to Worksop.

The group completed around 60 miles at an average speed of around 15mph. We had one puncture, not bad for the time of year, which led to the funniest quote of the day, you had to be there to get it. The puncture was rapidly fixed be Sat-Nav/Mechanic Mr Atkinson.

A great ride with just a few of our members. Here's to many more this year........
